Planetmeta.com is a new service to create rich invitations to events in the Virtual World of Second Life. Trough seamless integration of the 2d web and 3d web we help new and existing users navigate trough the metaverse! We plan to support new users, visitors or permanent residents of the virtual worlds, eventually even extending our program beyond the borders of just Second Life.
Planetmeta (Planet, meta) is a digital service which aims to contribute a high value service to both the physical world, and the virtual ?metaverse?. Our first series of applications is just the beginning of what we hope will be a better integration of the 2D web which has become ubiquitous by now, and the 3d virtual world, still in development. Planet represents the world we live in, and meta is an addition, a contribution to this environment.
Meta (from Greek: ???? = ?after?, ?beyond?, ?with?), is a prefix used in English in order to indicate a concept which is an abstraction from another concept, used to complete or add to the latter. The Greek meta is equivalent to the Latin post. ~Source: Wikipedia
Though we?ve just begun, we have quite a program. Planetmeta will not just be another news portal, or ?flat? service tending to residents of Virtual Worlds, we will be actively involved in the development of a platform that recognises the advantages of Virtuality.
